By browsing, registering or placing an order on this site, you consent to the collection, use and transfer of your information under the terms of this policy.

Personal Information Collected:

Canadian Business Chicks Inc. (“CBC”) collects personal information you voluntarily choose to provide such as your name, address, e-mail address, phone numbers and/or other categories of personal information, such as payment card information. Our web server logs may collect additional information, such as the domain names of visitors to our websites, in order to measure the use of our websites and to improve content. We may use cookies to manage areas of our website and to deliver a better website experience to our users. Use of Personal Information:

We may use personal information to facilitate order processing; to contact you if a problem arises with your membership; or for other uses consistent with the purposes of CBC. We collect only information that is voluntarily provided by you and undertake that such information will be kept strictly confidential.

CBC publishes and shares with members of CBC members’ names, business addresses, phone numbers, email addresses as well as certain other company-specific optional information (“Membership Information”). By applying for membership in CBC, you consent to CBC sharing your Membership Information with other CBC members. If you withdraw your application for membership or resign your membership, CBC will delete your Membership Information within a commercially reasonable time. We retain personal information only as long as is necessary to provide you with the requested product, service or information and then delete or destroy this information as appropriate to do so.

CBC does not provide your personal information, including contact details, to third parties. Disclosures of information will be made in circumstances where CBC has entered in to a contractual arrangement with a third party, and the purpose of that contract is the provision of a product, service or benefit. In such circumstances, information disclosure will be limited to information strictly necessary for the provision of the contracted benefit or service.

However, CBC may disclose personal information in special cases, such as when required by law.

Security of Personal Information:

Although CBC takes commercially reasonable steps to protect the electronic transmission of information, including payment information, that you submit to CBC through the Site, CBC does not guarantee the security of any information transmitted to or from the Site.  You understand and agree to assume the security risk for any information you provide using the Site.  The personal information you provide may be transmitted, used, stored and otherwise processed outside of the country where you submitted that information, including jurisdictions that may not have data privacy laws that provide equivalent protection to such laws in Canada.

Updating:

We make every effort to keep personal information as accurate, complete, current and relevant as necessary for the identified purposes. Upon written request you may update your personal information currently stored by CBC. You also have the right to access and view your personal information upon written request. We will reply to your request within forty-five (45) days after receipt of the request, or if we are not able to respond within this time period, we will send you a notice of extension. If we are not able to disclose all the personal information we hold on you, we will give you a reason for our inability to do so, unless prohibited by law.

Opting Out:

If you do not want to receive e-mail or communications regarding CBC events and programs, you will be may opt out to receive communications by unsubscribing to our newsletter subscription. You can opt-out at any time. Member is responsible for updating any personal member contact or information by logging in to the member profile.
